Happy Monday..

Image
This may be brief because I'm writing from my phone. We moved this weekend.. (Praise God) and our computer isn't set up yet. I am eating a late lunch and the baby is napping. It has been a crazy weekend full of helpful hands. I am so grateful.   I'm trying to take this moment to really thank God for all the blessings in my life. New ulm has never been easy for us but there is no doubt in my mind that through the troubles we have been blessed.  I always tell God, "I can be anywhere as long as you are with me . " I finally am starting to feel him here & recognize how he has moved in our lives over the past year. So many changes in such little time. I am grateful to serve a good God.  We didn't forget to pack thriftshop, he actually packed himself.  Monday confessions...  Im not feeling entirely ready for this move/change. I'm a little nervous & a little overwhelmed. But thankfully I'm surrounded by people to encourage me and remind that this is ...

So hard to believe. We had a VERY long weekend, but it was well worth it.  Unfortunately on the way home we hit a deer at 1am about 20 minutes from Sibley, Iowa. Our car looks t...

Therapy For My Soul..

My baby is sleeping & I should be cleaning, packing & preparing for yet another busy weekend.  But Lord knows I needed him first before I could take on any of that. So, I want to share with you just that. A little bit of coffee, a few tears & a whole lot of Jesus. My Life is in this crazy whirlwind of changes. God is doing so much in my heart & in my life that I cant even see or really understand at this point. Its strange because I've reached a point that I have dreamed of reaching.. for years. I have always wanted to be a mother. Always. The strange thing about it is that even though I've reached what I've most desired.. God is still placing dreams in my heart. I was speaking to a friend the other day about the things God put on her heart, a burden for a certain state & she just briefly shared about how sometimes its hard to hear God & how easy it is to get in the way. (my paraphrasing) And its so true. Being at this point ...

Weekend Recap/Monday Confessions..

Image
We had a crazy busy weekend. Caleb and I got the privilege of photographing our friends Aaron & Erinns wedding up on the North Shore about 2 hours north of Duluth. My Hus needs a haircut!  Unfortunately that made for a 6 hour drive with our 1 month old infant who HATES his carseat. Gorgeous wedding and a fun getaway! We stopped at the Rose Garden in Duluth, so beautiful. Caleb taking a few photos for me! :) Walk in the park <3 As for my Monday confession.. I am afraid of commitment. I don't like buying new clothes, getting a new pet, signing a lease.. Or anything that really requires a commitment of me. For too many reasons to list.. It freaks me out. There are few things that I Am passionately committed to and these are it- I committed my life to Christ, to serve him always. I committed my heart and faithfulness to my husband. And my most recent addition, I have committed my self to love and serve my child by hopefully meeting all...

So I wrote this blog yesterday and never got to posting it. So In celebration of my new life as a mother, please enjoy my Monday blog... on Tuesday! ;) I'm currently enjoying a delectable salad made by my amazing husband, listening to my baby snore and finally getting a chance to sit down and write a quick blog. Yay! :) I'm hoping to start a habit of writing a blog on Mondays that is all about being raw & honest even if its something people dont necessarily agree with.. hence my title "Monday Confessions." I follow a blogger who does Saturday Confessions. Monday is more my day to dish. you can find her blog here. Quick update on the Parker home first. baby boy is almost 4 weeks old. Unbelievable how time flies! Had to do a photo with daddy's glasses! We are loving his little personality that is JUST starting to come out. We have been trying to find a way to help him with his belly issues. He is pretty colicky and tends to have alot of gas. Poor baby....
