This crazy thing we call LIFE...

Such a crazy weekend. Well, actually.. its been such a crazy month. September has nearly come and gone. Im sort of in disbelief! My big boy is 7 weeks old tomorrow! Crazy!

We've been on the run practically every weekend since he was born. Too busy! For the month of October you will find us in New Ulm! a month of rest PTL! we are a tired group of people.

We Spent the Weekend in Nebraska visiting My family. It was the first time Grandma & Grandpa Santana got to meet baby Axel! :) While down there, we also took my sister Megans senior photos. Both her & my sister Rachel are graduating this year. So hard to believe. We had a VERY long weekend, but it was well worth it. 



Unfortunately on the way home we hit a deer at 1am about 20 minutes from Sibley, Iowa. Our car looks terrible but I've tried to stay positive and remember how blessed we are to have all 3 walked away safe! Axel actually slept through the whole thing, Praise God!

On a happier note.. We are moving! After a year in our current apartment I'm a little sad to leave (surprisingly). Im excited though for having our own house to rent & to make a place seem more like ours*.

Well for my Monday Confession..

Im confessing that I have a faithful God. I've seen him through the good, the bad and the ugly in this past month. He is without a doubt.. ever-present. 

And as for an update on last weeks confession...

My bible is still dusty. I need accountability. Im working on that!

Messy house, missions & alot more!

So we are getting closer and closer to being settled at the new place, but lets be real.. we have so far to go. My main goal is to try and do dishes, laundry & keep us fed. Unpacking will come in due time. I have a handful of things i want to share with you so lets get to it! 1. I finally got Axels Cloth diapers! I bought them here.  They are bamboo flats & I am using bummis covers as of now! They are working pretty well. the flat is very basic. literally just a large piece of organic cotton/bamboo. I have tried 3 different ways to fold and not quite sure which i like best yet.  Trifold - Newspaper fold- Origami fold. I think I'm going to stick with Newspaper for now. This is my inspiration for my post today.  I am thankful for life in itself.  Im grateful for my ever growing family.  I am blessed by my husband, who reminds me to keep dreaming.  And I Am joyful because I have him to love.  Life is rich & full of blessing. I'm Still Learning..

In case you are wondering.. I am still learning.  When we make a choice to do something, to love someone, to take on a new adventure, to commit to a new job or to become a parent, we are learning . It seems nearly impossible to live life's experiences and not be absorbing something at some point.  Moving to Costa Rica has not looked like I thought it would. Not at all really. In some ways that's good and in some ways its been hard. It seems that in every circumstance I am confronted with, God reminds me that this is a learning experience , an opportunity to grow.  I have a lot of thoughts running through my head and not a lot of words being typed out. All in all I am thankful that although sometimes my plans don't look like Gods plans, I am happy knowing I am in good hands.  This is short but i wanted to just share a few thoughts and a few photos.  Lots of Love, Briana
