This Is Our Story..

WELCOME BABY AXEL!
My baby is almost 2 weeks old. Its crazy, time just flies. In some ways my labor & delivery seems like ages ago, in another ways it seems like this lovely baby just came out of nowhere. So I'm finally ready to share a little of my story!
My goal was to deliver my baby all natural. After lots of research I decided it was what was best for him. I went into labor Monday August 5th at around 10pm. Caleb & I went for a walk and after being back at the house for awhile I started having contractions.
My labor progressed fairly quick. This was truly a blessing from God and something I've prayed for, for months. At 1am I woke Caleb up and told him I was ready to go to the hospital. We got our things together and were checked in at the hospital by 1:20. I was 7cm dialated when we got there. After monitoring the baby for about 20 minutes I asked if i could get in the bath to help relax & deal with the contractions.
At 2:10 or so I decided I was ready to push. I got out of the tub and by 2:15 started pushing. My water broke naturally on the 2nd push. Another answer to prayer for me. Axel Lohannes Parker was born at 2:41 am. It was truly an Incredible moment.
Thankfully, I was able to do it all on my own. No intervention was necessary, no pain relief & I was even able to go without an IV. God was so faithful through the whole thing. I cant tell you how many times he made himself known to me during those couple hours.
So we are now home adjusting to life as parents. There is nothing that can compare to the joy we feel. To everyone who has come to visit, brought us meals, called and texted.. We are SO grateful! You have all made this transition just a little bit easier for us & we feel so blessed.
And the biggest to thanks to  my heavenly Father.. for loving my family so much. For giving Caleb & I this precious life. Oh and Happy 1 year anniversary to my husband. You have made this the most incredible year of my life. I truly feel so loved.
Lots of Love-

Briana
