Blessed

April is almost over, I can hardly believe it. Time is FLYING by here. there is so much going on at the base and Caleb has been so busy. I have a handful of photos I want to share with you on the blog today and chat a little bit about how blessed we've been.
a favoritve photo of mine of our family on vacation back when we first arrived.

Before we left God spoke to both Caleb and I about trusting and believing that this was going to be a time of blessing. As we thinned out our personal belongings, either selling them or giving them away, we did so believing and knowing that no matter where we end up now or in the future God was going to take care of our needs.

So here we are 2 months down the road. I cant tell you a time when God has not been present- which for those of you of faith, I'm sure you are not surprised :). We have been blessed with companionship when we have been lonely, (we've made good friends here at the base) we've been healed when we are sick, we've been blessed with life, joy, hope in stressful moments, our church donated money to us right when some unexpected expenses came up.. God has just always been there.

I will not go as far as to say its been easy, but I will say its been abundant in blessings whether they were what we expected or not.
Caleb has been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!! He's been working with multiple ministries here on the base updating their photos, assisting in multiple ways and he is just starting some video.

I am so enjoying watching him create. He is beyond gifted.
a boy from the the Skate ministry.

Children always capture my heart.
I feel like the picture above speaks so strongly. Its one thing I love about children- They are usually pretty easy to read. They speak with their faces, expressions and not just their words. These kids are from the METRO ministries here. They are working with underprivileged children reaching out in many forms.

Last week Caleb also went out and helped with the Mercy trucks. It is our Medical Ministry. This dentist saw more than 45 patients in one day! Incredible!! He was a volunteer Dentist from Costa Rica. The government is really strict about medical volunteers in Costa Rica so the Medical Ministry usually only works with local volunteers for now.
Caleb also went out one night and worked with Freedom Street. This Ministry is rather new. They are working with prostitutes and transvestites. A few times a week they go out at night and bring coffee to them, catch up as they are now starting to form relationships with these people, and offer to pray for them.
Its truly an incredible ministry, but a very difficult one at that. Above 2 girls from the ministry are praying for one of the people they are working with.

So much going on. So much blessing. Thanks for keeping up with us, thinking of us, reaching out & Praying.

Sending our love~

Briana
