Axel Update/ 21days of gratitude (Day 7&8)

Its been awhile since I did an update on Axel. Of course for my 21 days of gratitude Im going to have to say..

I am grateful for my son & grateful for his good health.

Axel will be 11 weeks old tomorrow! He is a very large 11 week old baby. The last time we weighed him about a week ago he was 16lbs. Pretty impressive. Here are his 2 month pictures.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Caleb and Axel. I love my boys. They are my treasures. We decided to do a mechanic theme since thats one thing Caleb loves. Cars/trucks/Vehicles.

I love the wrench in his hand. 

Some of the fun things we are seeing right now:
Cooing.
Smiling.
Tracking Mom & Dad.
Fake crying (ha.)
Blowing bubbles.
Back and forth Conversations. (sounds)
Laughing in his sleep.

A recent one that is my favorite is clicking his tongue. 

Its been alot of fun and at the same time full of its challenges. We are blessed to see him grow strong and healthy. He has been going through a growth spurt the past 2 weeks. Because of this he is waking up more to nurse. Good for him, a little tiring for me. Caleb has been a huge help in giving me breaks and hanging with him so I can rest. 

Our greatest challenge now is him fighting sleep. Napping is an everyday challenge. Slowly we are figuring out ways to help him prep for sleep and rest longer. 

A well rested baby is a happy baby. We wont talk about when they're sleep deprived ;) .

Waves. He loved when we were up by Duluth at Lake Superior.

Now that its getting cooler we listen to nature sounds on youtube. He's not always as thrilled. I need one of those large fake trees in my house and a parrot.

Hope you are all doing well. Too bad the fall weather got cold so quick. Brr.. I'm looking forward to the high of 48! Snow in the forecast. Crazy!!

    Cute photos! Love the grease monkey suit on him. And is he in bib overalls in the last photo? I'd love to see a photo of him in those! So would Kendy ... :)

So we are getting closer and closer to being settled at the new place, but lets be real.. we have so far to go. My main goal is to try and do dishes, laundry & keep us fed. Unpacking will come in due time. I have a handful of things i want to share with you so lets get to it! 1. I finally got Axels Cloth diapers! I bought them here.  They are bamboo flats & I am using bummis covers as of now! They are working pretty well. the flat is very basic. literally just a large piece of organic cotton/bamboo. I have tried 3 different ways to fold and not quite sure which i like best yet.  Trifold - Newspaper fold- Origami fold. I think I'm going to stick with Newspaper for now. 21 days of gratitude {day 4}

This is my inspiration for my post today.  I am thankful for life in itself.  Im grateful for my ever growing family.  I am blessed by my husband, who reminds me to keep dreaming.  And I Am joyful because I have him to love.  Life is rich & full of blessing. I'm Still Learning..

In case you are wondering.. I am still learning.  When we make a choice to do something, to love someone, to take on a new adventure, to commit to a new job or to become a parent, we are learning . It seems nearly impossible to live life's experiences and not be absorbing something at some point.  Moving to Costa Rica has not looked like I thought it would. Not at all really. In some ways that's good and in some ways its been hard. It seems that in every circumstance I am confronted with, God reminds me that this is a learning experience , an opportunity to grow.  I have a lot of thoughts running through my head and not a lot of words being typed out. All in all I am thankful that although sometimes my plans don't look like Gods plans, I am happy knowing I am in good hands.  This is short but i wanted to just share a few thoughts and a few photos.  Lots of Love, Briana
