Monday Confessions & Axel Update!

Lets see how fast I can type and how many grammatical errors I can avoid while doing so. Axel is napping and so I thought I would do a quick Blog. Axel is 3 and 1/2 months old already! He is SO big! For the most part.. he is a pretty happy baby these days.

He's quite entertaining actually. Makes me laugh often. He LOVES when dad comes home for lunch and from work. He's actually some how coordinates his naps (if he takes them) so that he is awake when Dad comes home. I love it.

 Aren't they adorable together in their flannel? I LOVE it. 

Time is just flying. I can hardly believe it is November already. It seems this month has been full of challenges but yet full of blessing. We've been blessed to spend time with family and friends which is always nice, but the daily hum drum hasnt always been the easist. Caleb and I are praying about this and just trying to take one day at time. We trust that God ALWAYS knows what he is doing and our hope is to follow his will as closely as (humanly) possible.
So for my Monday confession:
I am so excited for the holidays to arrive. Thanksgiving is my favorite. I am excited for new family traditions. I am hoping to be posting about it all here. What are your plans for the holidays? what are some of your favorite family traditions? Please share!
I am also thinking about hosting a holiday get together in early December! Details to follow.. sometime soon! Hope you're all doing well. stay warm.

Messy house, missions & alot more!

So we are getting closer and closer to being settled at the new place, but lets be real.. we have so far to go. My main goal is to try and do dishes, laundry & keep us fed. Unpacking will come in due time. I have a handful of things i want to share with you so lets get to it! 1. I finally got Axels Cloth diapers! I bought them here.  They are bamboo flats & I am using bummis covers as of now! They are working pretty well. the flat is very basic. literally just a large piece of organic cotton/bamboo. I have tried 3 different ways to fold and not quite sure which i like best yet.  Trifold - Newspaper fold- Origami fold. I think I'm going to stick with Newspaper for now. 21 days of gratitude {day 4}

This is my inspiration for my post today.  I am thankful for life in itself.  Im grateful for my ever growing family.  I am blessed by my husband, who reminds me to keep dreaming.  And I Am joyful because I have him to love.  Life is rich & full of blessing. I'm Still Learning..

In case you are wondering.. I am still learning.  When we make a choice to do something, to love someone, to take on a new adventure, to commit to a new job or to become a parent, we are learning . It seems nearly impossible to live life's experiences and not be absorbing something at some point.  Moving to Costa Rica has not looked like I thought it would. Not at all really. In some ways that's good and in some ways its been hard. It seems that in every circumstance I am confronted with, God reminds me that this is a learning experience , an opportunity to grow.  I have a lot of thoughts running through my head and not a lot of words being typed out. All in all I am thankful that although sometimes my plans don't look like Gods plans, I am happy knowing I am in good hands.  This is short but i wanted to just share a few thoughts and a few photos.  Lots of Love, Briana
