Change

It's hard to believe that Christmas is only 7 days away.  December is flying by. Where has 2013 gone? It's hard to believe I spent majority of this year pregnant with the little guy who is ready 4 months. He is growing so fast.
Tonight I rocked him to sleep for the first time in awhile. He hasn't wanted to be rocked for about a month now. I held and rocked him a little while longer after he fell asleep, just because I can.

It's crazy 2014 is almost here. Every year I try and ask God for one word to help guide me through the year. A word that in my difficult moments I can remember to look to him.
So, for 2014 I feel like God told me that my word would be TRUST. As a family we are expecting a lot of change in the year to come, so trust is rather fitting. To be honest it is bittersweet. I am excited for the challenges of change but nervous as well. Thankfully my God is already reminding me to trust.
As for my Monday confession:
I am struggling to be a woman of contentment. Contentment is defined as calm satisfaction. With all the craziness in our lives and a baby that is rather challenging at times I've been faced with some anxiety.
I get overwhelmed by...
My dishes
My messy house
How I have no time for myself(vain)
How I look like a slob quite often
When Axel is fussy
Our upcoming changes

and above all I just get frustrated with feeling behind.
So in honor of my beautiful mess I have started a new series of photos that I call my real life collection. Here are a few...

Grumpy boy -tired mom

Decided he didn't want his photo taken.
He survived... Back to playing.
Tired dad.

An attempt at grocery shopping.
And last but not least, my heap of dirty dishes.

So there is a glimpse into my beautiful mess.

Lots of love. ❤️
