Minnesota Winters

Sometimes I look back and wonder how i survived nearly 20 some years of life in this tundra I call home. I mean, Really? Its SO cold, I dont get NEARLY enough sunshine and im just as grumpy as they get these days. 

Ok so I'm Kind of stuck in a rut. I am not good at seeing things through, day by day. I am ready to just just country and be done with it. These blustery Minnesota days are killin me. 



But apparently God has something more to teach me. 
I cannot let my character be determined by my circumstances. 

Rain.
Snow.
Sunshine.
Or no Sunshine.

God is faithful. 

So I am working on..
Patience.
Endurance.
Strength.
Conquering my..
Mind.
Thoughts.
Fears.
Doubts.
Insecurities.

One day at a time. But I cannot lie. I CANNOT wait for 70-80 degree weather.
Lord knows Im so over this dreary winter. In the meantime I will continue taking a zillion photos of my sweet boy.

So we are getting closer and closer to being settled at the new place, but lets be real.. we have so far to go. My main goal is to try and do dishes, laundry & keep us fed. Unpacking will come in due time. I have a handful of things i want to share with you so lets get to it! 1. I finally got Axels Cloth diapers! I bought them here.  They are bamboo flats & I am using bummis covers as of now! They are working pretty well. the flat is very basic. literally just a large piece of organic cotton/bamboo. I have tried 3 different ways to fold and not quite sure which i like best yet.  Trifold - Newspaper fold- Origami fold. I think I'm going to stick with Newspaper for now. This is my inspiration for my post today.  I am thankful for life in itself.  Im grateful for my ever growing family.  I am blessed by my husband, who reminds me to keep dreaming.  And I Am joyful because I have him to love.  Life is rich & full of blessing. I'm Still Learning..

In case you are wondering.. I am still learning.  When we make a choice to do something, to love someone, to take on a new adventure, to commit to a new job or to become a parent, we are learning . It seems nearly impossible to live life's experiences and not be absorbing something at some point.  Moving to Costa Rica has not looked like I thought it would. Not at all really. In some ways that's good and in some ways its been hard. It seems that in every circumstance I am confronted with, God reminds me that this is a learning experience , an opportunity to grow.  I have a lot of thoughts running through my head and not a lot of words being typed out. All in all I am thankful that although sometimes my plans don't look like Gods plans, I am happy knowing I am in good hands.  This is short but i wanted to just share a few thoughts and a few photos.  Lots of Love, Briana
