1 Month!

We are days away from being in Costa Rica for one month! In some ways it has gone so quickly, but on the other hand it seems like we have been outside the states for quite awhile now!
Axel turned 8 Months on the 6th!
He finally has one little tooth on the bottom that is just barely showing and is army crawling! its an exciting time as he grows so quickly. He is feisty and intelligent. Everyone on the base has commented on how he is strong willed, determined, enthusiastic, and very expressive! He is always making people laugh.
We took a trip with friends to their hometown Sarchi to celebrate! It is about an hour outside of San Jose.
It was BEAUTIFUL! they took us up in the Mountains right outside of town. It was really such a blessing. We were hesitant to go since Axel doesn't do well in the care (he screamed quite a bit) but it was well worth it!
Some lovely pictures Caleb took.
It was so serene. Such a nice break from the busy city. Our room is facing the road (which is super busy- at all hours of the day and night) so we are always hearing cars, horns, people. The usual city stuff.
Its hard to see in this photo but there is a baby horse next to the mom! :) so precious.
Beauty..

Caleb has been busy working with a few different ministries from the base. We are trying to figure out how we are going to divide our time. The base has been wanting to start a boys ministries in a poor neighborhood called Sinai. the leader of this ministry approached Caleb about teaching a skills class. We are really excited about this since it has been a dream of Caleb's too work with youth in this way. For now he is going to work on getting to know the boys and gaining their trust & respect. Being that they come from rough backgrounds it takes time to get in. Please keep him in prayer! Here are a few photos of whats already going on in Sinai!

A women's sewing class! This is a great way they are helping women rebuild their lives and teaching them a skill they can use!

And a nails class!

I want to update more on Axel and share a few videos in the next couple of days. They are not working right now so I'll have to wait! Sending our love to you all<3

  1. Miss that babe. And you guys too, of course. :)

So exciting to hear what God is doing through and in you. Maybe you can join in on that sewing class. Haha

Thanks for the update. As always, the pictures are beautiful.
