Baby A is 11 Months!


I have 3 blogs that are "in progress." Not a single one of them seems to be coming together. I have so much to update you all on and some changes/news we need to share but instead Im going to skip all that for just a few more days..I promise... and celebrate the life of my little Axel.

Axel is 11 months old today.
To celebrate, him and dad got matching haircuts (that were done by Dad).
Shaved sides with long top and back. Trendy little fellas. Dads hair is OUT OF CONTROL in this pic. 

They are seriously the cutest. It was a fun time to laugh and watch axels crazy expressions. He surprisingly sat still through all of it only twisting and turning now again to attempt to see the shaver.


For the 4th of July we took Axel to a Independence Day Picnic that was put on by the U.S. Embassy. Overall it wasnt what we thought it was going to be but Axel LOVED the petting Zoo.






I have learned to love this boy more than words can express. Parenting has taught me, and continues to teach me, SO MUCH. I am blessed to call him mine. Life is going well here in CR. I'll be back in a few days with some updates on the past month and whats ahead!

So we are getting closer and closer to being settled at the new place, but lets be real.. we have so far to go. My main goal is to try and do dishes, laundry & keep us fed. Unpacking will come in due time. I have a handful of things i want to share with you so lets get to it! 1. I finally got Axels Cloth diapers! I bought them here.  They are bamboo flats & I am using bummis covers as of now! They are working pretty well. the flat is very basic. literally just a large piece of organic cotton/bamboo. I have tried 3 different ways to fold and not quite sure which i like best yet.  Trifold - Newspaper fold- Origami fold. I think I'm going to stick with Newspaper for now. 21 days of gratitude {day 4}

This is my inspiration for my post today.  I am thankful for life in itself.  Im grateful for my ever growing family.  I am blessed by my husband, who reminds me to keep dreaming.  And I Am joyful because I have him to love.  Life is rich & full of blessing. I'm Still Learning..

In case you are wondering.. I am still learning.  When we make a choice to do something, to love someone, to take on a new adventure, to commit to a new job or to become a parent, we are learning . It seems nearly impossible to live life's experiences and not be absorbing something at some point.  Moving to Costa Rica has not looked like I thought it would. Not at all really. In some ways that's good and in some ways its been hard. It seems that in every circumstance I am confronted with, God reminds me that this is a learning experience , an opportunity to grow.  I have a lot of thoughts running through my head and not a lot of words being typed out. All in all I am thankful that although sometimes my plans don't look like Gods plans, I am happy knowing I am in good hands.  This is short but i wanted to just share a few thoughts and a few photos.  Lots of Love, Briana
