Recap!

What a week its been! I'm so glad its Friday! the week has been especially long & I've missed my hubby. Happy to have him home for a few days. I had my ultrasound today and baby boy is measuring perfectly with the August 10th due date. I'm thrilled & feel blessed to know that he is growing well. God is faithful!
A cute profile shot from the ultrasound today! Precious, he has my heart already!

After my appointment Caleb and I laid around for awhile and just caught up after a busy week.
So happy to have him home :)
We decided to take a quick trip to Minneopa Falls in Mankato to see the newly restored bridge and the waterfall! there was a little bit of snow falling down but it was beautiful!

Caleb was saying how he doesn't want snow for his birthday (April 20th) and we laughed about how all I wanted for my birthday WAS snow (January 17th). Believe it or not there was no snow in New Ulm on my birthday. This Minnesota weather is crazy!
While in Mankato we ran and got a few groceries. I decided to try a pinterest idea I saw which was to soak all your fruits and vegetables in water & vinegar after you buy them.
Its supposed to help remove any residue on the outside and also help keep them fresh longer. Has anyone else tried this? I thought I'd give it a whirl! I've always just washed them with water to the best of my ability. We'll see if it makes much of a difference.
Our weekend isnt too busy thankfully. I'm looking forward to quality time with Caleb & just enjoying a break.

Hope you are all enjoying this strange weather. I guess the snow is beautiful although we're all a little tired of it.

Blessings- Briana

  1. I soak my produce in vinegar and it totally works!

  2. Good plan - get rid of pesticides! Before we went organic, we washed our produce in vinegar and water. But we sprayed it on instead because we thought produce might lose some of its nutrients in the water. I don't know if the vinegar prevents that from happening, though.

    1. Agreed so much junk on the outside! Soaking them has gone good so far! P.s. Who are you morningstar? haha
