Willkommen!

Its been a crazy week both good & bad. Thankfully its ending well! It was a long week of just dealing with normal stresses. Caleb & I have been house hunting and have been unsuccessful to this point. Gods really been putting on my heart "being obedient even when I dont understand" time after time. So onward we go.
Thursday we had some friends from our church over for dinner. I made burgers for the first time in awhile and most everyone seemed happy :) haha. Friday we got the joy of seeing family! Calebs brother Elijah & his wife and son (Jackie & Malachi) came to visit! We had Salmon, sauteed veggies and wild rice. Jackie treated us to some delish gluten free cookies. I had way too much fun with those! After dinner we did a quick tour of New Ulm. At the Schells Brewery they have a few peacocks, so we got some fun shots of them & got to watch Malachi play!

Isnt he adorable!
Another exciting thing from friday was my baby sister was born! Its such a blessing to watch my family grow! Meet baby Naomi Lynn...
Posing with Naomi is my other baby sister Lillian! They both have stolen my heart! Love!
Heres another shot of her coming home on Saturday! The blanket on her is my first ever crochet project. They didnt find out if it was a boy or girl so i made the baby blanket blue & yellow, guessing a boy. I was wrong :).
Saturday was a blast! My amazing husband turned 25! To start of Calebs birthday i made him breakfast in bed. Later we went to the Food Coop in St. Peter. We both enjoy going there since they have lots of healthy foods to choose from! They just so happen to be celebrating THEIR birthday! 2 years in their new building! They were giving away free organic turkey or beef hotdogs and carrot cake to celebrate!

God was thinking of Caleb!! 2 things my husband loves are 1. CARROT CAKE! 2. FREE FOOD! He had a blast! :) glad we went! after we decided to go check out an abandon house we both like. Caleb requested for his birthday just to find a fun place to take some photos. We wanted to go to a abandon farm but there was a Private Property sign.. So we ventured on to an abandon house we both love that is outside of St. Peter as well. its a beautiful house. Sad to see it go to waste.
Our dream house! Sits on a gorgeous property outside of St. Peter
On the way home we stopped at a Dirt pit off some country road to Shoot off Calebs gun. He's been dying to use it ever since he bought amo! We took a few bottles from our recycling to use as target practice! :)
This was actually a TON of fun! Caleb taught me how to shoot! :) I loved it! I'm determined to go hunting now! he made a video of my first shot. Hilarious. I actually hit my target though! We also stopped at the Meat market in Nicollet to pick up some steak for dinner! We heard it was a great place to get meat so we wanted to try it out! Caleb picked for his birthday dinner to have tabouleh (a salad made with quinoa) and steak tips with sauteed veggies! DELISH!

Its been quite an eventful weekend. I'm definitely tired out but had such a good time. Thankful for all the fun in the past couple days! Love my husband and it was wonderful celebrating his 25th birthday! Im happy Sunday is just around the corner. A good day to gather with people I love at our local church & then just simply rest! God is good, loving & faithful in all things. Its been a challenging week but also one of many blessings.
Where ever you are, I pray the Lord is there with you!
Love & Blessings,
Briana

  2. That house is awesome! I'd love to see the photos you guys took... Isn't New Ulm incredible? If it wasn't for the people we've met-- i don't think I'd be as thrilled- but holy hannah! Did we hit the jackpot or what?
